The showman who knew how to live – Frank Sinatra

What constitutes an accomplished man? Is it success, fame, richness, influential contacts or affairs with numerous glamorous women?

Many would agree that all of these make a fulfilled living. Such was the life of Frank Sinatra, one of the greatest entertainers of the 20th century.

First, he wanted to be a sports journalist. When we look at his natal chart, it becomes obvious why. He was born in Sagittarius with Libra Ascendant. The chart analysis starts with the Ascendant, and I will do the same. His Ascendant is in Libra, with Venus as the ruling planet positioned in Capricorn in the 3rd house. It is the natural house of Gemini, the sign which represents journalists and media. The house of the career is in Leo (sport), beginning at 3 degrees (the degree of Gemini – journalism), once again confirming his ambition.

The same planet Venus, the ruling planet of Ascendant, is in Capricorn (truck, freight) in the 3rd house (the house of Gemini – traffic, driving). He was a driver for a short time, but soon he got lucky. People born in Sagittarius usually have luck and unbelievable, often movie-like turns in their lives. He got his first assignment as a singer, marking the beginning of a fantastic career. What made him start his musical career?

It can be attributed to Libra Ascendant, the sign of art and musicians. Many critics did not acknowledge his talent (probably because of Venus in Capricorn, the sign that brings non-acceptance and refusal). However, he managed to reach the hearts of people worldwide. His Sun, the most powerful planet in everyone’s horoscope, is in Sagittarius (international fame) in the 2nd house, responsible for his global popularity. This house is Taurus’s natural house, which describes singing and vocal cords. Thanks to Libra Ascendant and the Sun in the 2nd house, he was nicknamed “The Voice”.

His biggest hits, such as “Strangers in the Night”, “My Way”, “Fly me to the Moon”, and “New York, New York”, speak of his magnificent success.

Then, he started acting. His first roles were in musicals, but later, he starred in dramas. He won an Oscar for From Here to Eternity for Best Supporting Actor. That helped him get more roles. Sagittarius, Frank Sinatra’s horoscope sign, represents film art. His 10th house (career in the sign of Leo-acting) explains why he was so passionate about acting. Mars in Leo, the second ruling planet in the 1st house, is positioned again in the 10th house, which brought him success on the movie screen. The second ruling planet influenced Frank’s second choice in his career.

But, it was not all bed and roses. What nearly ruined his career was his controversial personality and his criminal past characteristic of truly negative characters. Those were different times that cherished traditional values, and it was not popular to hang out with gangsters. The public linked him with Charles “Lucky” Luciano due to the actor’s Italian background, the Mafia being initially from Sicily.

What does his natal chart say?

Frank’s Ascendant was in Libra, but his 1st house, which describes self, ambitions and choices, continues in Scorpio – the sign of the Mafia. It signifies that he often had contact with mafia members. Mafia allegedly helped him with his music career. It may have been true because his 2nd house (singing and earnings) is in Scorpio. It indicates that Mafia found him lucrative arrangements. The rest is history.

Frank was short and not strongly built. Men whose ruling planet of Ascendant is in the 3rd house (the house of Gemini) are not very tall (unless the 3rd house is in Aquarius). But Frank was charming enough to seduce the world’s prettiest and most influential women, such as Judi Garland, Nancy Regan, Jacky Onassis, Lauren Bacall, Ava Gardner, Merlin Monroe, Lana Turner, Juliet Prowse, Mia Farrow, and many others. He married several times and was a devoted father to three of his acknowledged offspring. There are some claims that he had more children.

People with Libra Ascendant attract the opposite sex, and men born in this sign or ascendant are lucky to be adored by women. Furthermore, the 5th house describes our partners and our love life. Women queued for hours to buy a ticket for Sinatra’s concerts. They were euphoric everywhere he went, and indecent proposals were abundant. His 5th house in Pisces signifies that he received a lot of secret offers, and Jupiter in the 5th house explains why numerous women wanted to be in his company alone (Jupiter – abundance, increase, accumulation).

Neptune, the ruling planet of the 5th house at the MC, indicates that women’s hearts brought him success and fame. Women were crazy about him (Neptune – madness, euphoria).

He was married four times. The second wife and third one were both film stars. Ava Gardner, the most beautiful woman of the time, was the love of his life. He would send flowers as a token of his affection and support for the rest of his life.

According to his natal chart, he was destined to be married to famous women because of his 7th house in Aries, whose ruling planet is placed at 27 degrees Leo (Leo-actresses). It is near Regulus, also known as Alpha Leonis, which signifies fame. The 7th house points to spouses regardless of how many times one has been married. Many of Frank’s partners revealed that he had mood swings and became rough and unpleasant when under the influence.

What else did he achieve in his life?

He befriended John F. Kennedy and helped him during his presidential campaign. After the victory, Sinatra publicly offered the President to share Judith Campbell, which JFK accepted. Quite a rouge act. Can we see Frank’s friendship with the President in the natal chart? Frank’s 11th house begins in Virgo with its ruling planet Mercury, positioned together with the Sun (President) in his 2nd house. Based on this, we can conclude that Kennedy liked his songs and engaged him to do some business for him but only for a short time (Virgo-business).

Frank Sinatra could trick everyone into believing he was out having a blast all night long, whereas he was at home reading a book. A world-renowned charmer got tired of the limelight and unforgettable nights out, but not so of attractive women. His last wife, Barbara Marks, once said: “I was his partner, adviser, muse, psychiatrist, and lover.” The marriage lasted until he died in 1989.
